In the gentle embrace of Soun, every detail has its roots. The name ‘Soun’—derived from the Wolof word ‘Souna,’ celebrates a variety of local millet and honors Joyce’s grandmother, Kumba Soun Sanneh, born in the Souna harvest season. It’s an ode to heritage and to a legacy that continues to nurture our approach to wholesome dining.
